Certificate and Diploma in Clinical Supervision

2026 Programme:

Dates to be announced

Our modular ten day Diploma in Clinical Supervision is conducted over nine months, with two initial modules totalling six days, after which students will be awarded a Certificate in Supervision, followed by four further days for students who wish to undertake the full Diploma programme.

The course is conducted in a small group with a maximum of four students in order to ensure individual attention. The syllabus covers the practical aspects of clinical supervision, and is designed for coaches, therapists and counsellors who have already achieved accreditation, or who have significant experience, and who wish to extend their portfolio to include supervision, or to review their supervisory skills.

Your tutor for this course is Joanna Taylor, an Accredited Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapist and experienced Clinical Supervisor, who creates a secure platform for students to explore multiple facets of supervision, and our external moderator is Craig Wood.

The course will include:

  • The Purpose of Supervision
  • Developing and Maintaining the Supervisory Relationship
  • The Importance of Self-Awareness in Supervision

  • The aim of this experiential programme is to provide a framework in which delegates will develop a robust confidence in both theory and application of the principles of supervision, including:

  • Skills Practice
  • Reflection on Learning in Development Log
  • Feedback Review

  • Attendance on the initial six days (Modules 1 and 2) will entitle students to receive a Certificate in Clinical Supervision, after which students may begin practicing as supervisors. Successful completion of further certification criteria, and attendance at the final modules will entitle students to receive a Diploma in Clinical Supervision. This course is a Level 7 equivalent programme and is recognised by the Association For Coaching as part of their CPD Hours Scheme.

The course will be held Wydale Hall, near Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Full residential accommodation is available at the Hall at a rate of £76.00* per night for those who wish to stay.
